The stumble along the road to AVIDITY…

The imagination of a child stretches far beyond reality, and is an important part of their childhood. At a young age it is so easy for one to create basically anything. You would think that as we get older our imagination would get better, greater and improve with the rest of our evolution. However this is rarely the case. In actuality as we grow up we become less imaginative, and theosophical and largely more simplistic and conformed.
Thus the creation of an imaginative business practice was far from easy.
Coming up with the name for our agency has been the biggest hurdle to date. A hurdle that took us through much back and forth, decisions, stressed meetings, sometimes conflicting ideas and directions, creating and recreating of layouts and designs to match up to names that did not necessarily resonate well with us.
We started off with many concepts and ideas flying between the both of us, we recklessly threw around words such as Verve and Ardure in search of something to encapsulate our feeling and authentically showcase our strengths. We went from Black dress to Polka.dot marketing thinking we would be able to play on our personality and quirk. We thought of ideas such as calling ourselves Unboxed as we wanted to deliver new ideas. We planned, played, made and remade our agency what feels like a million times over.
However one faithful rainy Tuesday morning, over mugs of green tea, sitting apart in two separate provinces we came to a mutual decision. We were chatting on a messenger app, regrouping and telling ourselves it was crunch time. We searched for a word to describe our feel, we wanted our emotion to be highlighted, and we looked for a noun to best showcase us as people firstly and as an agency.

Avidity stands for all the things we hope to achieve and bring about from our business.
Avidity, in the English dictionary is defined as an extreme eagerness or enthusiasm, and a form of willingness. We believe this suited us best and shaped the outline of our entire brand perfectly. As ultimately it describes our brand and our values as having a strong desire, craving and determination to improve Brands and Innovate for Humanity. We believe in striking a balance that is both beneficial for the brands we undertake for as well as to sustain and better humanity.
Once we were decided we felt secure in Avidity and undertook to create our logo. We designed and redesigned and once again toyed with ideas. Ultimately we then narrowed it down to two designs.

We chose the “A” in a boxed outline as we saw it to be simplistic, modern and sleek. We wanted to create a brand that stood out and like our business, encapsulates energy and transform our undertaken brands to stand out. You will always find Aviditys A at the forefront of our energetic backgrounds.
Our Blog pictures are all to do with passion, enthusiasm and excitement. We want to create a new way of looking at brands. Giving them a new ‘light’, which is why our pictures have been created the way that they are, to enhance ones perception.
We envision our agency to be market leaders one day in the field of Innovative Branding Solutions. As such our Name, Slogan and Logo perfectly sum up our intention.
